Gold Bridal Jewelry Comeback! Go Gold!

What is all the rage?

Gold bridal or wedding accessories are definitely making a comeback! There is just something about the richness of color and warmth that has won us over. Gold Jewelry and Gold Tiaras are especially popular with light ivory, ivory, dark ivory, or champagne wedding gowns or formal dresses.

Many brides are going for the vintage or traditional look (such as our Champagne Blossom tiara above). This is another reason that gold accents are so popular. Many of the wedding gowns today are inspired from the Art Deco era, and are adorned with gold or champagne accents. It is really a beautiful and timeless look!
So go ahead, GO GOLD!

Oh so classic! Pearl Bridal Jewelry...

I have always been partial to the traditional bridal jewelry. And you simply can't go wrong with pearls. I think of people like Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe, Jackie Kennedy--classic beauties who chose so many times to wear.... Pearls!

Whether they are freshwater, white, or ivory, you really can't go wrong with this look. I always tell brides to choose a set that compliments the gown.

If you have a simple wedding dress, then you can go for a more bold pearl jewelry set. If you have a very detailing wedding gown, go for a simple pearl strand with earrings.

If any of you ladies have some great wedding photos with great jewelry, we would love to see and possibly post them. Feel free to email me at help@shopforbridal.com.

Have fabulous day!

Choosing The Perfect Bridal Jewelry!

Hi Ladies....
Hope your weekend was fantastic. Last post was all about the hot new trend in colored bridal jewelry. This post is about going back to basics--for all you more traditional brides who still was a bit a glam to their wedding day look!

Today's bridal jewelry often includes Rhinestones sets, Swarovski crystals sets, Austrian crystals, Pearls sets and/or a combination of two or more. It's really a matter of personal style and budget.
Where do I start?

Gown style: The most important thing is to make sure your jewelry does not overpower the dress and that the color works with the gown. For example, a white gown looks best with white pearls and silver. An ivory gown looks better with ivory pearls and gold or silver both work. A champagne gown looks best with dark ivory/champagne and Gold Jewelry Sets.

Ceremony style: The bride's jewelry should reflect the formality of the wedding. Simple wedding, simple jewelry!

Veil Style: Always consider the detailing on your veil. The more detailed it is, the softer you want the jewelry to be.

Hairstyle: If you have a shorter style or you have selected and up-do for the wedding day, choose longer or drop earrings that extend toward your neck. Or, go with a dramatic chandelier earring for the WOW factor!

So, with these rules in place... be unique and have fun!

Hot Trends in Bridal Jewelry

Hi all...

I have been doing some research and have found that brides are really going for a different trend this year--bridal jewelry sets with color! I think it is just great. Adding Jewelry with Color Accents to your ensemble is an excellent way to bring out your own personal style on your wedding day!

Think blue, fuchsia, green or red, a splash of color in your bridal jewelry is hot in 2008! Gone are the days when only pearls or clear crystals were "bridal."

Colored jewelry is also so great with the bridesmaids dress. There are so many colors available--but I am finding that Pink, Red and Lilac are the the hottest colors. So, even if your wedding dress or formal gown is all white or ivory, jazz is up a bit with some colored Austrian Crystals or Swarovski crystals jewelry sets. Think about matching it to the colors in your bridal bouquet!

Bouquet jewelry is a stunning trend as well! It is a staff favorite around here... You can use the jewelry in your bouquet or in your wedding centerpieces!
